I had a wonderful stay at May Cottage. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful village and enjoying scenic walks. The hot shower and comfy bed were definitely highlights of my stay.
Although I did encounter a couple of minor issues, such as the sticky kitchen table and the lack of a proper dining area, these didn't overshadow the overall experience. The village itself made up for it with its charm and friendly neighbors.

Had access to a fancy restaurant, can't beat eating in style while scrolling through cat videos.
Towels provided, but unfortunately, they didn't have that luxurious, scratchy feel I was hoping for.

I had a very cosy and comfortable 8-day stay at this warm cottage in Tideswell. The kitchen was well equipped and the bath with a tub was perfect for a long, hot soak after a day of trailwalking. The location was great, with local shops nearby for provisions and the Monsal Trial and Tideswell Trail just steps away from the doorstep. It was the perfect base for exploring the trails. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

I loved having access to a restaurant, especially since I hate cooking. Free WiFi? Just what I needed, so I could post pictures of my fabulous vacation. Oh, and they even provided towels, so I didn't have to squeeze them into my luggage.
How thoughtful of them to let me rent a bike or a car, but why would I want to leave and go to Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens? Such a shame.

I recently stayed at May Cottage and had a lovely time. The location was great, with plenty of beautiful walks right outside the front door. The hot shower was a highlight after a long day of exploring. And the bed was super comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
There were a couple of drawbacks. I struggled to light the gas fire in the living room, which would have added a cozy touch to the evenings.

Loved the location right in the heart of the village. Warm and cosy with comfortable furniture. the bed was very comfortable too. Well-equipped kitchen with access to a small outdoor space. Gas fire was a great bonus in the cold weather. Ample wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. Lovely festive touch with a small Christmas tree in the window. Excellent value for money.
Felt at home, nothing too much trouble.

Had a great Christmas stay! Loved the cozy cottage atmosphere and the extra touches like the heater being left on for our arrival. The collection of DVDs, CDs, and board games provided entertainment, and the well-stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The location was perfect, with plenty of beautiful sites nearby to visit.
The hot water was a bit inconsistent, especially in the winter, which was a bit of a downside. although the kitchen had everything we needed, it could have been cleaner and had a strong odor.
